Call signs of amateur radio stations

4.1. Distribution and call sign system

4.1.1. General

The call sign of the radio station (Call Sign) is the second name of the shortwave. He is assigned

all amateur radio stations and owner (operator) of the radio station is obliged to transfer it to

outlet of the air regardless of the nature of the work (liabilities, setting the transmitter with the connected antenna, etc.).

All call signals consist of a combination of Latin letters and Arab numbers (usually no more than six characters), and there are no two identical call signs in the world. They can begin with both letters and numbers.

Call sign (abbreviated - call sign) has two parts: prefix and suffix. The prefix is the first part of the call sign, to the last digit inclusive. The suffix is the second part of the call sign, running after the last figure of the prefix and consisting only of letters. For example: UA1ZAA. Here "UA1" - prefix, and "ZAA" - suffix.

Series of callsign (the first three characters) in the form of letter and alphanumeric combinations are distributed over all countries and territories of the world by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

In practice, only a small part of the series (blocks) allocated to a certain country is usually used to form a permanent (regular) urgent amateur radio stations, while only the first two symbols are taken. Thus, from the series CAA-CEZ, XQA-XRZ and 3GA-3GZ, selected chili, in this country, radio amateur issues only call signs, starting with the letters CE, in Uzbekistan from the UK-UMZ series - with the letters UK, etc. The remaining symbols of the call sign are formed by national communication administrations.

The list of episodes (blocks) and the main prefixes of the urgent amateur radio stations of the world, as well as international organizations, are shown in Table 4.1. In addition, in addition to the series itself and the main prefixes, the name of the country or territory belongs to a series or a specific prefix, the continent, where they are located (AF - Africa, AS - Asia, EU - Europe, OC - Oceania, Na - North America, SA - South America, An - Antarctica), Conditional rooms zones for WAZ diplomas (CQ-zones) and R-75-P (ITU zones), in which there is a given country or territory (in detail about WAZ and ITU zones and see section 10.6 Chapters X).

The call sign of the radio station carries a large amount of information. A characteristic feature of most of them is the binding of a calling radio station to its location. According to the first letter (letters) or the alphanumeric combination of the prefix of the call sign, it is possible to determine which country or territory of the world is one or another radio station. The figure that is at the end of the profix of the call sign, in different countries has a different meaning. It may indicate a conditional radio amateur area of the country, identify any groups or subgroups of radio stations, mean different categories of radio stations, etc. In some countries, the figure does not carry any information load and is simply used to increase the tank (quantity) of call sign.

To the main call sign through a fractional feature, the letter (letters), denoting work from nonstationary conditions, is sometimes added.

Generally accepted of them are:

... / R - the radio station works from time location or from field Conditions;

... / M - the radio station works with a moving object on land (car);

... / AM - the radio station works from the aircraft;

... / mm - the radio station works from the board of a sea or river vessel.

For example: UT2FA / P, UN7PKW / M, EV6C / AM, RW2FDS / MM.

With temporary operation in the ether of nonstationary conditions, these additions are made to the main call sign, and radio amateurs (amateur radio station operators) independently, and no separate permission is required about this. Another thing when the sea (river) vessel is a stationary operating condition and amateur radio station is set there for permanent (long) use. In this case, the disposition of permission to operate the amateur radio station on this object It is mandatory and manufactured in accordance with the established procedure by the territorial bodies of the authorized state body in the field of communication at the permanent place of the radio amateur. At the same time, the written consent of the Captain of the vessel is necessary.

When operating a station from another administrative-territorial education of the country (region, edges, republics, etc. - further the "region"), which can divide its territory on conditional radio amateurs, to the call sign of this station through the fraction add a number assigned to the Radio District District, In the boundaries of which this area is located. For example, JE8CLT /. This call sign means that the operator of the Japanese amateur radio station living in the Governorate of Hokkaido (in the 8th Radio District District of Japan) currently operating on the Niigata Prefecture or Nagano located in the zero Radio District of this country.

In countries that do not have divisions of their territory on radio amateur areas, work from another region (region) of this country is determined by any other identifier transmitted after the call sign through the fraction. In Ukraine, for example, during the operation of the station from another area, a letter A is transmitted through a fractional line, in Kazakhstan - a digit 7, and in Uzbekistan - a letterparty, assigned to a particular area of this country.

Working from the territory of another area of its country provides for certain features that are determined in each country in different ways. For example, in Belarus, with temporary transfer of a radio station to another area for a period of more than one month, a preliminary registration of the appropriate permission is required, which indicates the "fractional" call sign.

Registration of temporary permission to work from the territory of another area is made at the main place of residence of the radio amateur (where its radio station is registered). When using a radio station to work with another area, a period of no more than one month, Belarusian radio amateurs must be independently adding to their call sign, assigned to the area from which work is planned. This digit identifier comes after calling sign and separated from it "fraction".

In Kazakhstan, for temporary work with another area of obtaining a separate permission is not required. In this country, when transferring a radio station to another area to work on the air for a period of not more than 12 months, only the notification of the relevant territorial bodies of AIS on temporary work is envisaged from another region. In this case, this notice must follow no later than three months from the moment of transferring the radio station to another area.

If the radio amateur temporarily works on another territory (within one state or abroad), for which another prefix is installed, then the prefix assigned to this territory is added via a fractional feature. This prefix can stand both after the call sign and in front of it. For example: KC7AKB / KH9, UT / RV6LEV. To work on the air from the territory of another country requires the official permission of its state bodies in the field of communication, which must be issued in advance.

4.1.2. Calling radio stations of Russia

The formation system of call signals for identifying the RES of amateur and amateur satellite services (hereinafter - amateur radio stations) Russian Federation repeatedly changed. First of all, it was associated with the collapse of the USSR, which resulted in the redistribution between the new independent states of the post-Soviet space of the series (blocks) of prefixers previously allocated to the Soviet Union.

In the early 1990s, Russia (blocks) of prefixes starting with the letters from RA to RZ (RA, RB, RC, RB, RZ, RY, RZ) were allocated to the formation of call signals of the identification of amateur radio stations. UA, UB, UC, ... .., UH, UI). Despite this, the first instruction "On the procedure for assigning call signals amateur radio stations of the Russian Federation"

it appeared only in 1996 (was approved by the Order of the Glavgoszvyaznadzor of Russia of March 27, 1996 No. 22). Until that time, the application of the instructions "On the procedure for assigning call signals amateur radio stations of the USSR" 1983 continued. Instruction of 1996 existed only six years. A similar instruction was replaced by a change, which was approved by the Order of the Ministry of Communications of Russia of September 20, 2002 No. 119, which did not make significant changes to the formation of the formation of call signals. With these instructions, the structure of regular call signals (i.e., call signals of permanent use), which were assigned to individual and collective amateur radio stations.

According to the specified instructions, individual amateur radio stations for permanent operation on the air were assigned by the calls signs, which had the structure "Two letters - a figure - three letters" (in this case, the last two letters called only from AA to Vz) or the structure "Two letters - a figure - Two letters "(with any last letter of the Latin alphabet). For example: RX6HDM, UA4CW. At the same time, five-digit call signs could only be assigned to radio stations of the 1st category.

Collective use radio stations had called "Two letters - a figure - three letters" with two last letters from WA to Zz (i.e., the second letter of the suffix was to be w, x, y or z). For example: RU2FWB, RX3RXX, RK6YYA, RZ9UZZ. Given the special status of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, their radio stations could be assigned to four-digit call signs with one letter (R) in the prefix, and the right to use previously issued call signs with U-U9 prefixes was preserved.

Significant changes in the formation system of call signals for identifying amateur radio stations of Russia occurred in January 2010. To comply with the unified approach in the implementation of measures to form call signals of identification, Roskomnadzor developed methodological materials on the formation of call signals for identifying radio-electronic media. These methodical materials are taken to the execution of radio frequency service enterprises, i.e. RCHT, in accordance with the letter of Roskomnadzor of January 21, 2010 No. Ka-00641 "On the procedure for the formation of call signals of identification". In fact, the specified methodological materials replaced the instruction "On the procedure for assigning call signals to the amateur radio stations of the Russian Federation" 2002. But, no matter how it was, since February 2010, the education (assignment) of call signals for identifying amateur radio stations is made exclusively on the basis of methodical materials.

Fig.4.1. Radio Map of Russia

The new urgent system provides for the formation of the call signals of continuous use and call signals of temporary use. At the same time, the division of call signals by type of radio stations (individual and collective), as it was before, is absent. However, call signals can be formed not only individuals, but also legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. The formation of call signals is carried out in the alphabetical order of prefixes and suffixes. The owner of the amateur radio station at its place of registration can only be formed by one permanent use.

The formation of a constant use call signal is carried out for 10 years or a smaller stated period. If necessary, the use of such a call sign can be extended on the basis of the application of the owner of the radio station (Appendix 7.3), which is issued a new evidence of the formation of a call sign of identification. When changing the place of registration in connection with the movement to the territory of another region of the country, the owner of the amateur radio station is obliged in a period not exceeding three months, contact RCHTs, at the same time place of registration with a statement of termination of the call sign available. After that, it is necessary to contact RCC at a new place of registration with a statement about the formation of a new call sign. If the permanent use call signal was formed directly by the FSUE "GRCHC", i.e. At the federal level, then a statement should be applied to the same institution.

Cancellation signals of identification are formed using twenty-six letters of the Latin alphabet and numbers. The prefix of the call sign must contain the letter R or two letters from the RARZ and UA-UI series, and one digit (any from 0 to 9). The next suffix prefix contains from one to four characters, the last of which should be the letter. Call signals of temporary use can be formed with a suffix consisting of more than four characters. In the call signals of permanent use, the suffix consists exclusively from the letters and in the amount of no more than three.

Speaking about the structure of constant use signals, it should be said that it depends on the qualifying category of the radio amateur. Thus, for radio stations of radio amateurs of the first category, four- and five-digit call signals having the structure of the "letter" are formed

"The figure is two letters", "Two letters - the figure - the letter" and "two letters - the figure - two letters." The formation of call signals for radio stations of this category of radio amateurs is carried out from the following blocks:

RAA-R9ZZ (with the exception of the hq suffix);

RAA-RZ9Z and RAAA-RZ9ZZ (with the exception of prefixes that have alphabetic combinations RB, RE, RH, RI, RP, RR and RS);

UAA-UI9Z and UAAA-UI9ZZ.

Call signals of radio stations of radio amateurs of the second category may have the structure of the "letter - digit - three letters" or "Two letters - a figure - three letters" (i.e., five- and six-digit call signs).

The formation of call signals for radio stations of this category of radio amateurs is carried out from blocks:

RAAA-R9ZZZ (with the exception of srr suffix);

RAAAA-RZ9ZZZ (with the exception of prefixes that have alphabetic combinations RB, RE, RH, RI, RP, RR and RS);

Only six-digit call signs, having the structure of "two letters - a figure - three letters" can be formed by radio stations of radio amateurs of the third and fourth category. At the same time, the formation of call signals for radio stations of radio amateurs of the third category is carried out from UBAAA-UD9ZZZ and UFAAA-UG9zzz blocks, and for radio amateurs of radio amateurs of the fourth category - from UEAAA-UE9zzz and Uhaaa-Ui9zzz blocks.

With raising the qualification category, the radio amateurs of the third and fourth categories are formed by new call signals in accordance with the above procedure.

Radio amateurs with a second qualification category, upon receipt of the first category, if they wish, a new call sign may not be formed. In addition, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and Cosmonauts are allowed to continue the use of previously formed call signals with U-U9 prefixes.

For those who use amateur repeaters, radio beacons and space satellites, add that for such objects, call signs are formed from the following blocks:

RRAA-RR9ZZ and RRAAA-RR9ZZZ - for amateur repeaters;

RBAA-RB9zz - for amateur radio beacons;

RSS-RS99S - for amateur satellites.

In the previous section of this chapter, it was already mentioned that the call sign carries a large amount of information. A characteristic feature of most of them is the binding of a calling radio station to its location. Thus, the letters of the prefix R, RA-RZ and UA-UI determine the state affiliation of the amateur radio station (in this case to Russia).

- & nbsp- & nbsp-

Distribution of the figures of the prefix and the first letter of the suffix in the call signals for identifying amateur radio stations on subjects (regions, edges and republics) of the Russian Federation

- & nbsp- & nbsp-

The more accurate location of the radio station inside the country is determined by the figure of the prefix and the first letter of the pitch of the call sign. In particular, on these two symbols of the copper signal of permanent use, it is possible to determine in which region (subject) of the Russian Federation is the or another radio station. Based on this, the federal district can be defined, which includes this area. For example, by call sign RACDW you can determine what it russian radio stationwhich is located in the Asian part of the country, in the Khabarovsk Territory of the Far Eastern Federal District. The distribution of the figures of the prefix and the first letter of the suffix in the call signals for identifying amateur radio stations on the constituent entities of the Russian Federation is shown in Table 4.2.

It should be borne in mind that radio amateurs are allowed temporary work from other regions of Russia without registration of any additional allowing documents. This opportunity enjoys a large number of radio amateurs, leaving on vacation, on holidays on weekends, in radio applections, etc. However, to identify the work of an amateur radio station from another area of the country, the methodical materials establish certain requirements that are reduced to the following. When working on the air from the territory of another region of the country, an amateur radio station operator must independently add a number after its call sign, corresponding to the distribution by regions (subjects) of the Russian Federation (Table 4.3). This number is transmitted after the call sign and separated from it by a fractional feature (for example, UACJQ / 9). If temporary transmissions are carried out from the territory of their area, the digit identifier to the call sign is not added.

The formation of the formation of call signals provides a number of other cases when required to add to the call sign.

In particular, the following letters characterizing special conditions for using the radio station are added to the call sign.

... / n - when conducting radio communications by the person undergoing training and non-qualification of the radio amateur, which are carried out under the control of the manager of the operator (except in cases of participation in competitions);

... / RR - when using a radio station as an echo repeater;

... / Rb - with short-term use of the radio station as a lighthouse.

For example: RK3DZB / N, RV3DA / RR, UA1CEC / RB.

If the conditions for using the amateur radio station simultaneously correspond to several cases listed above, all relevant additions are used (for example, RA3SF / 3 / RB).

The formation of the formation of call signals also provides for the possibility of using optional alphabetic additions to the call sign, which can be used exclusively at the request of an amateur radio operator. These add-ons include such letters and alphabetic combinations as P, M, MM, AM and S. they are transmitted after the call sign and fragmented by a fraction. About these designations of work from non-stationary conditions has already been said in the previous section. However, the methodological materials that determine the procedure for formation of call signals in our country are widerly interpreted by these designations.

Thus, these additions can be applied in the following cases:

... / P - when conducting radio communications from field conditions (autonomous power supply) and when using wearable RES;

... / M - when conducting radio communications from mobile means subject to state registration in the prescribed manner (car, motorcycle, boat, yacht, moving in inland water bodies, etc.);

... / mm - when carrying out radio communications from maritime courts;

... / AM - when carrying out radio communications with airborne and aeronautics registered in the prescribed manner;

... / s - when conducting radio communications from the space based object (except for the use of call signals formed from the RSISS series - RS99iss).

To identify amateur radio stations, along with the urgency of permanent use, it is possible to form call signals of temporary use with a period of their action to three months, and for Antarctic expeditions, drifting polar stations and to work with space-based objects - up to two years.

The formation of temporary call signals is permitted only for radio amateurs that have the first or second qualification category. The validity period and the territory of using a temporary call signal are indicated in the evidence of the formation of a call sign of identification. An application for the formation of a temporary call signal must be filed no later than two months before the planned date of starting to use.

In connection with international events and anniversaries, public holidays and officially planned anniversaries of Russia, which are noted on the basis of the presidential decrees and orders of the President of the Russian Federation, decisions and orders of the Government of the Russian Federation;

In connection with the anniversary of historical dates, the celebration of which is carried out on the basis of the orders of the federal executive authorities of the Russian Federation or the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation;

In connection with commemorative dates in the field of radio communications;

For use by participants in full-time rounds of international and All-Russian radio communication competitions on KV and VHF, included in the unified calendar plan of the federal executive body in the sports field;

For use by participants of the victory Memorial;

To use by the operators of polar stations drifting in the ice of the Arctic Ocean; Participants in expeditions to the objects of cosmic base, as well as to Antarctica and the islands listed in Table 4.4.

The formation of temporary call signals is carried out from the following blocks:

RSISS-RS99iss - For amateur radio stations of expeditions to cosmic bases;

RSP-R99Sp - for amateur radio stations of polar stations drifting in the ice of the Arctic Ocean, where the numbers correspond to the polar station number;

with the prefix RI (according to Table 4.4) - for amateur radio stations operating from Antarctica and from the islands;

RSRR-R9SRR and RHQ-R9HQ - for amateur radio stations in conducting events organized and conducted by the Union of Radio Piece of Russia;

Raem - for events dedicated to the memory of E.T. Krenkel;

with the RP-RP9 prefix and the suffix, consisting of no more than four characters, the last of which should be the letter - for amateur radio stations during events within the victory Memorial.

When conducting other activities mentioned above, the formation of temporary call signals is carried out from the RAAAA-R9zzz, RAAA-R99zzz, RA-R999Z, RAA-R999ZZ, RA-R9999Z, as well as RAA-RZ99Z, RAAA-RZ99ZZ, RAAAA- RZ99ZZ, RAA-RZ999Z and RAAA-RZ999ZZ (with the exception of prefixes that have alphabetic combinations RB, RI, RP, RR and RS).

- & nbsp- & nbsp-

For amateur radio stations of participants in full-time rounds of International and All-Russian Radiocommunication Competitions on the KV and VHF, included in the unified calendar plan for the federal executive body in the field of sports, the formation of call signals is carried out from RA-R9Z, RA-R99z blocks, RAA-R99zz (except RSP-R99SP call signals block).

When creating call signals of the temporary use by foreign radio amateurs, which wishes to work from the territory of Russia, the letter R and the figure is added to their main call sign, in accordance with Table 4.3, which precede the main call sign (for example, R3 / SM6LRR). Foreign citizens who have a permit for temporary residence in Russia or residence permit may be formed by a call sign at the place of their registration in the manner prescribed for Russian citizens.

In accordance with Methodical materials In order for the formation of call signals for identifying radio-electronic media, the formation of call signals is carried out by enterprises of the radio frequency service (RCHC), which has already been mentioned in Section 3.2.1 of Chapter III.

At the same time, the RCHTS FDs and their branches exercise the formation of call signals to identify the following amateur radio stations:

Radio amateurs of the first category, with the exception of the RAA Blocks - R9zz, RAA - RZ9Z and UAA - UI9Z;

Radio amateurs of the second, third and fourth categories;

Applied in competitions in radio components and sports radio benefits.

The main radio frequency center (GRCHC) exercises the formation of call signals for identifying amateur radio stations:

Radio amateurs of the first category from RAA blocks - R9zz, RAA - RZ9Z and UAA - UI9Z;

Repeaters, radio beacons, satellites and for gears from the board of a spacecraft or station;

Temporary use;

Foreign citizens in their temporary stay in the Russian Federation.

In the community of radio amateurs-short-wavelets there is another group that was mentioned in the introduction to this book. These are ample radio amateurs. What is the procedure for the formation of observation calls? If you see the official documents on the formation of call signals of identification signals in Russia, then you will not find the necessary information on this issue.

From this it follows that at the All-Russian level, the procedure for the formation of call signals of identification for receiving amateur radio stations is simply not installed. In other countries, the system of call signals of radio amateur radio amateurs is determined by the regulations of amateur radio communications (for example, in Ukraine and Kazakhstan).

Nice shortwaves of Russia should not be upset. From any position there is a way out. Including in the formation of call signals for radio amber radio amateurs.

For a long time by the formation of (issuing) of call signals, regional (edge, republican) radioclubs was engaged in the observer radio amateurs. In those regions where such radio clubs have been preserved to the present, they continue to issue observation calls. In the Khabarovsk Territory, for example, forms and gives the edge radioclub of Amur.

The procedure for obtaining such call signals is next. To receive the SWL call sign (Short Wave Listener - a shortwall listener), the radio amateur sends a written application application to the radio club indicating his name, name, patronymic, birth of birth and residence. It is desirable to apply two photographs of 3 x 4 cm in size.

Based on this application, an identity of the observer radio amateur is issued, where the cylinder assigned (assigned) is indicated. Age limitations To obtain SWL, the call sign is not installed.

Call signs of Russian adoptive amateur radio stations (observer radio amateurs) instead of suffix contain a two-letter combination assigned to each region (edge, republic), and the sequence number of the call sign issued. At the same time, the two-letter designation of the region (edges, republics) can stand both in front of the ordinal number of the call sign issued and after it. For example: UA9-KE-1351 or RA9-1351-KE. According to this call, it can be determined that it is issued to the observer living in the Asian part of the Russian Federation, in the Kemerovo region of the Siberian Federal District. Letter notation Regions (edges, republics) are shown in Table 4.2.

In the late 90s of the last century, observed call signs also formed (assigned) the Union of Radio Piece of Russia (CRP). Call data are currently operating. The first element of the observed call sign on the SRP system is the letter R, which determines the state affiliation (country). The second element (digit) and the third (letter), determine the specific area (edge, republic) of the country (the combination of the "digit letter" corresponds to Table 4.2). The last element Observation call sign - the individual number of the observer in this area (Territory, Republic). For example, R3A-124, R9U-79.

Currently, the CRP is not engaged in the formation of (assignment) of call signals to the watches radio amateurs. However, in the past few years, regional SRP departments have taken this feature. In general, the structure of the observation call signs formed by them with the one that was previously applied directly to the CRP.

But you can ask a question: why the observer needs call sign, isn't it just so watching?

First, it is needed so that the observer can take full participation in all events held by its radio club, section, etc.

Secondly, without a call sign, the observer will not be able to confirm his observations. It will simply be unknown to whom and where to send response card receipts for the surveillance.

Thirdly, callsign gives the observer the right to participate in various radio communications competitions on short waves, as well as collect cards for radio amateur diplomas of Russia and other countries of the world.

4.1.3. Calling radio stations of the countries of the neighboring countries

4.1.3.1. Call signs of radio stations of Ukraine

- & nbsp- & nbsp-

With the temporary operation of the Ukrainian radio station from another area of its country, the letter "A" (for example, UR5QB / A) is added to the call sign. But here, as we see, it is impossible to accurately determine the area (region) of the country from which such a station works. When issuing permits to foreign radio amateurs to work from the territory of Ukraine, the letters of UT are added to their main call sign (in front of it).

Call signs of receiving amateur radio stations (observer radio amateurs) consist of a US prefix, the letters assigned to this area, and the ordinal number of the call sign issued (for example, US-A-14, US-L-218).

4.1.3.2. Call signs of radio stations Belarus

In Belarus, call signals of amateur radio stations consist of two letters (EU, EV and EW), denoting government affiliation (country), one digit and following one, two, three or four letters behind it.

At the same time, in this country, individual radio stations (with the exception of some categories of radio amateurs) are assigned five- and six-digit call signs, which are formed from the following blocks:

EU1AA-EU8ZZ, EV1AA-EV8ZZ and EW1AA-EW8ZZ (with the exception of EU5, EV5 and EW5 prefixes) for radio amateurs having a class (category) "A" and "B";

EU1AAA-EU8ZZZ and EW1AAA-EW8ZZZ (with the exception of EU5 and EW5 prefixes) - for radio amateurs having a class "C".

Some individual radio stations can be assigned to four-digit call signals with one letter in the suffix - any of the A to Z (call sign EU1A-EU8Z, EV1A-EV8Z and EW1A-EW8Z, with the exception of EU5, EV5 and EW5 prefixes). Such call signs are assigned at the request of the Belarusian Federation of radio amateurs and radio contacts by radio stations of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as radio stations of radio amateurs having a class (category) "A" and continuous radio amateur work on air 20 years or more.

Collective radio stations are usually assigned five-digit call signals. At the same time, the fourth call sign symbol must be a letter W, X or Z (for example: EU1WA, EV4XM, EW8ZF).

The region of the country is determined exclusively by the figure of the prefix of the call sign, because For each territory the corresponding digit is fixed.

This consolidation looks like this:

1 - Minsk (EU1, EV1, EW1 prefixes);

2 - Minsk region (EU2, EV2, EW2 prefixes);

3 - Brest region (EU3, EV3, EW3 prefixes);

4 - Grodno region (EU4, EV4, EW4 prefixes);

6 - vitebstay area (EU6, EV6, EW6 prefixes);

7 - Mogilev region (EU7, EV7, EW7);

8 - Gomel region (EU8, EV8, EW8).

Figures 5, 9 and 0 make up the reserve of Belgie and are used only by special permission to form temporary and special call signals.

The discharge of temporary calls signs include call signs operating from Antarctica.

Such radio stations are formed (assigned) call signals from the Ewanaewanz block. When the temporary call signals are formed by foreign radio amateurs wishing to work from the territory of Belarus, the EW letters precede the main call sign (for example: EW / K1WDI) to their basic call sign. With the temporary operation of the Belarusian amateur radio station from the territory of another region of the country, a digit assigned to this area (for example: EU8AA / 2) through the fraction is added.

Special call signals are formed and issued for a period of any activities (exclusively for the radio stations of the class "A").

They are formed from the following blocks and are issued to radio amateurs for the following activities:

EU5A-EU5Z and EW5A-EW5Z - to participate in international telecommunication competitions on KV and VHF, as well as for team participation in "Field Days";

EV5A-EV5Z, EV9A-EV9Z and EVA-EV9999Z - to work on the air during events under the victory memorial, in connection with various anniversaries, commemorative dates, as well as during radio amateur expeditions. For example: EV65R, where "65r" is decrypted as "65 years of victory"; EV93B, where "93b" is decrypted as "930 years of Borisov".

4.1.3.3. Call signs of radio stations in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan for the formation of call signals of amateur radio stations allocated series (blocks) of prefixes, starting with the letters of UN, UO, UP and UQ. At the same time, in the prefixes of permanent (regular) call signs, only the UN series is currently used, and for the issuance of special call signs - the UP series. The UO series prefixes will be issued when the UN series is exhausted. The UQ series (block) UQ is still reserved and can only be used for a special resolution of the republican communication administration.

Permanent (regular) call signals of amateur radio stations in a given country consist of two letters (UN) denoting government affiliation (country), numbers (ranging from 0 to 9) and suffix - from one to three letters, where the first letter is a conditional designation Areas of the country (see Table 4.6).

The structure of the call sign depends on the category of the radio station. So, one letter in the suffix has a radio station of the "Extra" category (for example: UN2A, UN5G, UNT), two letters - radio stations of the 1st category (for example: UN9AA, UN8GA, UN7FJ, UN6JZ), three letters - radio stations 2nd and 3rd categories (for example: UN9AAA, UN8GAA, UN7FJK, UN6JVZ). Collection of collective radio stations have the structure "Two letters - a figure - three letters." In this case, the second letter of the suffix is only letters w, y or z (for example, UN7AWA).

As we can see, the figure in the callsign Kazakhstan radio stations, as well as in the urgent Ukrainian radio stations, does not bear any information load and serves solely to expand the capacity of the series (blocks) of call sign.

- & nbsp- & nbsp-

With the temporary work of the Kazakhstani amateur radio station from another area of its country, a number 7 is added to its call sign through a fractional line (for example, UN7BS / 7). When issuing permission to foreign radio amateurs to work from the territory of Kazakhstan, the letters are added to their main call sign (in front of it).

Call signs of receiving amateur radio stations (observer radio amateurs) consist of a UN prefix, a three-digit sequence number of registration and the letter of the corresponding symbol of the region (for example: UN-1-G).

4.1.3.4. Positive radio stations of other countries near abroad

Azerbaijan:

In Azerbaijan, call signals of amateur radio stations consist of a digital-lettering combination of 4J or 4K, denoting the government affiliation (country), one digit and suffix - from one to three letters. At the same time, for daily work, the radio stations are assigned constant (regular) call signs with prefixes 4J2-4J9 and 4K2-4K9. Call signals of special radio stations have prefixes 4J1, 4J, 4K1 and 4K.

Call signals of individual radio stations of all categories have the same structure with two letters in the suffix and are formed from blocks 4J2AA-4J9ZZ and 4K2AA-4K9ZZ. At the same time, it is allowed to assign call signals with one letter in the suffix of radio station owners of the 1st category, which have an air experience of 20 years or more, high activity as sports judges and coaches. Collective radio stations, as a rule, have six-digit call signs with suffixes from AWA to ZZZ (for example: 4K6AWZ).

The region (region) of the country is determined by the prefix of the call sign. Thus, the prefixes 4J2 and 4K2 are highlighted by Nakhichevan, and the prefixes 4J4-4J9 and 4K4-4K9 - the city of Baku. On the rest of the territory of Azerbaijan (i.e., excluding Baku and Nakhichevan), prefixes 4J3 and 4K3 are used.

Foreign radio amateurs, at their request, Azerbaijani call signs with prefixes allocated for special stations may be issued to work from the territory of Azerbaijan.

Armenia:

In Armenia, call signals of amateur radio stations consist of two letters (ECs) denoting state affiliation (country), one digit and two or three letters following it. At the same time, the individual radio stations of the citizens of Armenia are assigned call signs with the prefixes of the ECs containing the numbers 1-2 and 4-7 (EC1, EC2, EC4, EC5, etc.). Call signs with EC8 prefix are assigned exclusively to collective radio stations. With the desire of foreign radio amateurs of Armenian nationality, working on the air from the territory of Armenia, the call sign of this country, they are issued with the prefix of the EC9. The EC prefix is used in call signs issued by special radio stations and expeditions. The number 3 is not used in the prefixes of the calls sign and is in reserve.

The structure of the call sign depends on the category of the radio station. Thus, individual radio stations of the 1st and 2nd category have two letters in the suffix, and the 3rd and 4th - three letters. The 3rd and 4th category radio stations are identified by the first letter of the suffix. In particular, the suffixes of call signatures of the 3rd category begin with the letters "O" (the first letter of the suffix), and the 4th category radio stations - with the letter "R".

Georgia:

In Georgia, call signals of amateur radio stations consist of a digital-lettering combination (4L), denoting state affiliation (country), one digit (any of 0 to 9) and the following one or two letters behind it. In this case, only radio stations category "Extra" have one letter in the suffix of the call sign. Individual and collective radio stations have no differences between themselves.

Until the end of 2008, the region (region) was determined by the first letter of the suffix of the call sign (the letter identifier). Thus, the radio stations of Adjara were assigned by call signs, having the first letter Q or S, and the radio stations of Abkhazia - call signs, the suffixes of which began with the letters V or X. On the rest of the territory of Georgia, call signs could be used with any first letter of the suffix, with the exception of the letters Q, S, V and X.

In 2008, Abkhazia came out of Georgia and announced their independence. In connection with this event, Abkhaz radio amateurs ceased to use call signals previously issued by them by the authorized state bodies of Georgia in the field of communication. Since 2009, in connection with the agreements achieved, the radio amateurs of Abkhazia began to use call signals with the UF6 prefix, which was allocated in Russia. In this case, the first letter of the suffix of the call sign used in Abkhazia is the letter V (UF6V). The transfer of Abkhazia is this prefixes are not accidental. Previously, the UF6 prefix belonged to the Georgian SSR, during its occurrence of the USSR, and was used throughout Georgia, including Abkhazia.

Kyrgyzstan:

In Kyrgyzstan, the call signals of amateur radio stations consist of two letters (EX) denoting government affiliation (country), one digit (any from 0 to 9) and following one, two or three letters following it, where the country's first letter is the symbol. Except for the "Extra-Class" category radio stations).

The structure of the call sign depends on the category of the radio station. So, one letter in the suffix has individual radio stations of the "Extra-Class" category (for example: EX2A, EX8G, EXZ), two letters - radio stations of the 1st category (for example: EX6MA, EX7QT, EX8VZ), three letters - radio stations 2y and 3 Categories (for example: ex8pay).

The figure in the call signs of Kyrgyz radio stations does not bear any information load and serves solely to expand the capacitance of call sign. Currently, in the prefixes of the callsign radio stations of this country, they are mainly used in 2, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0. At the same time, the individual radio stations category "Extra-class" are assigned, as a rule, call signals with numbers 2, 8, and 0 In the prefix (EX2, EX8, EX), the radio stations of the 1st category - with numbers 6, 7 and 8 (EX6, EX7, EX8), and radio stations of the 2nd and 3rd category - only with the number 8 (EX8). Collective radio stations are assigned call signs with digit 9 in the prefix (EX9). But, despite this characteristic sign, collective use radio stations are still determined by the suffix of the call sign, or rather in two last letters, which should be from WA to Zz, i.e. The second letter of the suffix is free to be w, x, y or z (call sign ex9wa-ex9zz).

As already mentioned above, the region (region) of the country is determined by the first letter of the suffix of the call sign (the letter identifier).

In Kyrgyzstan, the following injections are assigned areas:

A, b, c, d, f, g is the city of Bishkek;

H, I, J, K, L, M - Chui region;

N - Osh region;

O is the city of Osh;

P - Naryn region;

Q - Issyk-Kul region;

T - Talas region;

V - Jalal-Abad region.

Moldova:

In Moldova, the call signals of amateur radio stations consist of two letters (ER) denoting government affiliation (country), one digit (any from 0 to 9) and the following one, two or three letters behind it. At the same time, for daily work, the radio stations are assigned constant (regular) call signs with ER1-ER5 prefixes (in accordance with the radio amateur areas, which is conditionally divided by the country). Call signs of special stations have ER6-ER9 prefixes.

The structure of the call sign depends on the category of the radio station. Thus, one letter in the suffixes have individual radio stations of the category "Extra" (call sign ER1A-ER5Z), two letters - radio stations of the 1st and 2nd category (call sign ER1AA-ER5ZZ), three letters - radio stations 3rd and 4th Categories (call sign ER1AAA-ER5ZZZ, with the exception of call signs with KAA-KZZ suffixes).

Collective radio stations have only six-digit call signs, where the first letter of the suffix "k" (call sign ER1KAA-ER1KZZ, ER2KAA-ER2KZZ, etc.).

When working the Moldavian amateur radio station from another area of its country, the area of the district, from which it temporarily works (for example, ER1AA / 5) is added through a fractional line.

Call signals with a number 0 in the prefix are assigned exclusively to radio stations of foreign radio amateurs, which for work on the air from the territory of Moldova wish to use Moldovan call sign (for example, ERND).

As already mentioned, Moldova has dividing its territory for radio amateurs.

Conditional radio amateur areas include the following territories:

1 - the city of Chisinau;

2 - city district Tiraspol and Bender;

3 - district of the towns of Beltsy and Rybnitsa;

4 - district of Soroki;

5 - district of Cagul city.

Tajikistan:

In Tajikistan, call signals of amateur radio stations consist of two letters (EY) denoting government affiliation (country), one digit and two or three letters following it. At the same time, for everyday work, radio stations are assigned constant (regular) call signs with EY4-EY9 prefixes. Call signs of special stations have an EY1 prefix.

The prefixes with numbers 2, 3 and 0 are still in the reserve.

In this country, individual and collective radio stations are assigned, as a rule, five-digit callsigns. At the same time, individual radio stations have in the suffix called only the letter from AA to YZ (call sign EY4AA-EY4YZ, EY5AA-EY5YZ, etc.), and collective - from ZA to ZZ (call sign EY4ZA-EY4ZZ, EY5ZA-EY5ZZ, etc. d.). But, it should be borne in mind that the collective radio stations can be assigned and six-digit call signs with ZAA-ZZZ suffixes (call sign EY4ZAA-EY4ZZZ, EY5ZAA-EY5ZZZ, etc.).

The region (area) of the country is determined exclusively on the prefix of the call sign, because For each territory, a prefix has a specific digit.

This prefixing of prefixes is as follows:

Ey4 - Mountain Badakhshan;

EY5 - Khatlon region (Kullyabinsky district);

EY6 - Khatlon region (Kurgan-Tube district);

EY7 - Sughd region;

EY8 - City of Dushanbe;

EY9 - Districted areas.

Turkmenistan:

In Turkmenistan, the call signals of amateur radio stations consist of two letters (EZ), denoting government affiliation (country), one digit and following one or two letters. At the same time, radio stations are assigned call signs only with EZ3-EZ8 prefixes.

Prefixes with numbers 1, 2, 9 and 0 are still in the reserve.

All individual radio stations are assigned exclusively five-digit call signs with two lubricant suffixes (call sign EZ3AA-EZ8ZZ). The collective radio stations are assigned only to four-digit call signs with one letter in the suffix from A to V (call sign EZ3A-EZ3V, EZ4A-EZ4V, etc.). Special radio stations use the same structure as collective. In this case, the letter of the suffix of the call sign of a special station can only be W, X, Y or Z (for example, EZ5Y).

The region (region) of the country, as well as in Tajikistan, is determined by the prefix of the call sign, which is enshrined for the relevant territories.

A radio amateur call sign - a kind of radio amateur identification number on the air. In the same way, as in the world there can be no two identical telephone numbers, there can be no two identical amateur radiators. Those. Each callsign is unique. And, just like full telephone number It can be understood which country and the settlement it belongs to, you can find out which country and its region owns a radio amateur call. But this is far from all the information laid in the call sign. With the help of special consoles and endings, you can additionally indicate the state in which this moment transmission is carried out if the transmitting station is not a resident of this state; You can learn about the location of the radio station - in stationary whether the conditions are transmitted or from the board of the vessel, car, etc.; You can learn about the procedure for the emitted power of the transmitter. But about this somewhat later.

In general, initially when the radio amateur was only originated - at the beginning of the 20th century - the radio amateurs were not registered anywhere and worked independently-crushed call signs on any frequencies that their equipment was constructed. Often there was no interference to service radio stations. As a result, after a while, the US Radio Frequency Commission allocated certain radio frequency bands for the amateur. You can read more about this in the article ".

When moving the radio amateur to another area, the federal district number is added to the call sign through the fraction, to which this area belongs. When moving within one subject of the Russian Federation, the digit to the call sign is not added RW3LU / 6 from Krasnodar (sixth district). In this case, you can add only 6 (7 it is impossible). Similarly to RW3LU / 3 from Moscow (add 3 district, it is impossible to add 2.5) when moving the radio amateur to another country, the prefix of the country of stay according to the rules of this country is added to the main call. EA8 / RW3LU - while relaxing on the Canary Islands. US / RW3LU - from Ukraine. Operators of amateur radio stations must necessarily add the letters below after the call sign. RW3LU / N is the person undergoing training and unrelated radio amphibian (under the supervision of the operator) RW3LU / RR - when using a radio station as an Echo repeater RW3LU / RB - with short-term use of the radio station as a RW3LU / P beacon - during field conditions ( Autonomous power supply) and when using wearable RW3LU / M RES - a car, a motorcycle, a boat, a yacht, moving in the inland ponds of RW3LU / MM - from the side of the sea vessel, RW3LU / AM - from the flight of aircraft and aeronautics RW3LU / S - With RW3LU / QRP space based object - work with a small (less than 5 watt) capacity, RW3LU / QRPP - work supermala (less than 1 watt) power. The callsign in Russia are divided into everyday examples of RN3LA (1 category), UA3LRU and special, such as RP3LPS (dedicated to the memory of partisans of smolencins of fought with the fascists during the occupation in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1943g) or RK1G. Casual call signs are designed for permanent operation. Special call signs are issued for a certain period, or certain categories of radio amateurs and amateur radio groups. Usually, the issuance of a special call sign is timed to a significant event (exhibition, a tear of radio amateurs, the anniversary of the city, etc.). The appearance on the air of a special station, usually causes an easy "hype", since the ability to work with such a station is unique - such a prefix may already never be. And since colorful QSL cards are almost always sent for communication with such stations, this is a good copy for your collection. Separately, it is necessary to talk about the structure of call signs issued by radio amateurs to work from some Russian territories. Russian stations in Antarctica - R1an, RI1ANA-RI1ANZ; On the island of Small Vysotsky - R1mv, Ri1mv, Ri1mva-Ri1mvz Earth Franz Joseph - R1FJ, RI1FJ, RI1FJA-RI1FJZ New Earth - Ri1O, Ri1OA-Ri1oz, Ri1oaa-Ri1oaz O.Kolguev - RI1PA, RI1PA-RI1PZ, RI1PAA-RI1PAZ Northern Earth (including Islands: Small Taimyr, Starokadovsky, May, Geyberg, Sergey Kirov, News CEC, Arctic Institute, Sverdruup, Voronina, Privacy, Schmidt, Visa, Ushakov) - RI0B, RI0BA-RI0BZ, RI0BAA-RI0BAZ Oh. Karaginsky - Ri0x, Ri0xa-Ri0xz, Ri0xaa-Ri0xaz Commander Islands - RI0Z, RI0ZA-RI0ZZ, RI0ZAA-RI0ZAZ. The ratio of radio amateurs themselves to their own call sign is ambiguous. Someone, due to various reasons, changes the fifth or sixth call sign for his life, motivating this by the fact that the former call sign "intolerable" or too long, poorly remembered or unsuccessfully sounds telegraph. Of course, the share of logic in this is, however, I want to note that any callsign is remembered only when its owner actively works on the air, and if your call sign sounds quite often, it becomes less and less errors.

Call signs of amateur radio stations

Each radio station has its own call sign. Callsign all different and there are no two in the world identical. Very often, especially in the amateur clubs, conferences, when a person is represented, then with the name they call him and call sign.

That is, call sign becomes the second name of the radio amateur. By call sign, you can determine where the radio station is running, collective it or an individual and a number of other parameters.

Call signs consist of a set of letters of the Latin alphabet and numbers. For example, consider call sign RK4HZM.

The first two signs of the call sign are determined by the country, where the radio station is running. Russia is allocated letters from Ra to RZ (RA, RB, RC, etc.). That is, if the call sign begins with the letter R, then this is a Russian call sign, no matter what the second letter goes, and from UA to UI.

Currently, RA, RV, RK, RN, RU, RW, RX, RZ and UA are used.

Thus, in this case, we are dealing with a radio station operating from Russia.

Other countries are allocated other designations, such as Ukraine - UR-UZ, Georgia - 4L, Belgium - ON-OT, etc.

A complete list with the distribution by the countries of the world can be viewed in Appendix 3.

Next follows a figure. It denotes the number of the radio amateur area within Russia.
1 district - Northwest of Russia;
2 District - Kaliningrad region;
3 the district is the center of the European part of Russia;
4 District - Volga region;
6 District - North Caucasus;
9 District - Urals and Western Siberia;
8 District - Buryatia;
0 District is Eastern Siberia and the Far East.

Pay attention: The first three territories are conditionally attributed to the first radio amateur area, and in the latter case the district number does not make sense at all.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War issued special call signs, starting with the letter U, then the figure and two more letters. These callsigns are intimidated. According to such a call, it is impossible to determine even the state from which the radio amateur works. Today, veterans are far from seventy, there are quite a bit left of them, and they enjoy honored honor and respect for radio amateurs.

There are some additions to the call sign and when working is not from its permanent location. If the radio station is temporarily running from another area, then after a call sign, the district number is transmitted, where the radio amateur is opened.

For example, Ra4hra / 6 means that the Samara radio station temporarily works from any area of the sixth district (for example, from Krasnodar), and Ra4hqk / 4 from another area of the 4th district (for example, from Saratov).

When working from another settlement The region adds / a - work in stationary conditions (indoors), / p - work in the field.

If the radio station works from a movable object (car, train), then after the call sign transmitted / m, if from the board of the aircraft - / am, and if from the board of the ship - / mm.

It should warn that before working from the board or aircraft, it is necessary to obtain the permission of the captain of the ship or the aircraft pilot, since the radio station may interfere with the operation of navigation instruments and interfere with the means of communication.

When moving a radio amateur to another country, the prefix of the host country for the rules of this country is added to the main call sign.

Call signs are usually pronounced by the words of the phonetic alphabet. In this case, each letter was assigned a certain word, starting with this letter. This is done in order to be on the ether on the background of the interference, it was possible to clearly and unmistakably take the calls in the correspondent.

Below is the table of words of the phonetic alphabet:

Anna, Anton

center, Heron

Ivan Short, Yot

kilowatt, Konstantin

Mikhail, Maria

Roman, radio

Tamara, Tatiana

beetle, Zhenya

sign, X.

Therefore, call sign RK4HZM on the air will sound like this: Radio Kilowatt Four Khariton Zinaida Mikhail. Other callsigns are also pronounced.

Must warn you that the use of other words, abbreviated or diminishing forms, for example, instead of Fedor to speak Fedya, prohibited.

I pay your attention to the letters V and W. The fact is that in the transcription of the English alphabet of the letter V corresponds to the Russian B, and in this case, on the contrary: V is a g (beetle), and W - B (Vasily). The remaining letters, as a rule, do not cause confusion.

I want to prevent you about the accurate writing of similar letters: Y, V, U; I, j; O, Q, D.

This phonetic alphabet you must know very well. Because the radio amateurs pronounce the callsigns quickly and need to have time to write them the first time. Please repeat the callsign, as well as errors in the reception of the call sign talking about the insufficient training of the radio station operator or poor audience of the radio station.

Call signs in Russia are divided into casual For example RN3LA (1 category) UA3LRU and special For example, RP3LPS (dedicated to the memory of the partisans of the Smolensk region fought with the fascists during the payback in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1943g) or RK1G. Casual call signs are designed for permanent operation. Special call signs are issued for a certain period, or certain categories of radio amateurs and amateur radio groups. Usually, the issuance of a special call engine is timed to a significant event (exhibition, alert of radio amateurs, an anniversary of the city, etc.). The appearance on the air of a special station, usually causes an easy "hype", since the ability to work with such a station is unique - such a prefix may already never be. And since the links with such stations almost always color colorful QSL cards, it is a good instance for your colleague.

Separately, it is necessary to talk about the structure of call signs issued by radio amateurs to work from some Russian territories.

Of course, the share of logic in this is, however, I want to notice that any call sign is remembered only when its owner actively operates on the air, and if your callsign sounds quite often, then the errors are becoming less and less.
